Day Trips
As long as you’re here, you may as well rent a car and drive along PCH. A day trip to view gorgeous architecture is one of our favorite things (raised on AD, thankyouverymuch). And feel free to check out some of the links below to see if anything else interests you.
Orange Curtain
We’re not huge fans of Disneyland, but since everyone else seems to be, have fun! (Fun fact: Anacrime is hometown to No Doubt.) You'll also find spectacular Michelin-approved pho not far from the Mouse Ears, in a ’hood called Garden Grove. Keep driving south, take a hard right to the 133 and you’ll find the so-much-cleaner-than-LA-sand Laguna Beach, just south of Crystal Cove. Whether or not you stay for the night, be sure to hit up The Montage for cocktails and sum fun in the sun.
Santa Barbara
Blessed to take a gorgeous drive along the coast, you'll be very impressed with this super-cute town. We once read that it’s where celebs slum it. Home to the bitchiest of celebs, SB offers a bohemian-chic Farmer's Market, wow-za view from the Courthouse, plus heaps of nummy seafood. This quaint slice of beachy-gorg isn't touristy (how is this possible!), yet always spectacular.
